GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS


1. Prices

The prices displayed on our website correspond to the nightly or weekly rate of each property, depending on what is indicated during the booking process. All prices are expressed in euros or in the currency selected by the client. Prices include all applicable taxes, with the Tourism Tax (Ecotasa) shown separately during the booking process. The tax may vary depending on the length of stay, property category, number of guests, or selected dates, and the preliminary calculation provided by our system may be manually adjusted by our team in accordance with current legislation.

We reserve the right to modify prices at any time, without affecting confirmed bookings, except in cases where taxes or legal fees are modified by the competent authorities.

Prices include:

  • Exclusive use of the property for the booked period.

  • Cleaning of the property before guest arrival.

  • Provision of bed linen, weekly sheet changes, and periodic towel changes.

  • Property maintenance and utility costs, including water, electricity, gas, and internet.

  • Customer service during business hours and 24-hour emergency support.


2. Booking Process

Once a booking is made, we will verify the availability of the requested property. Confirmation will be sent automatically or within 24 hours by email, including the booking confirmation, property details, and contact information of the check-in person.

If you do not receive confirmation within this period or notice an error, please notify us in writing as soon as possible.

The booking and deposit payment constitute a binding agreement between the client and Sonnevillas Menorca S.L., guaranteeing that the client is at least 18 years old, has the authority to accept these terms and conditions, and agrees to comply with all applicable vacation rental regulations.


3. Payment Methods and Deposits

A deposit is required to guarantee the reservation. The deposit amount is as follows:

  • Bookings more than 30 days in advance: 20% of the total booking amount.

  • Bookings less than 30 days in advance: 100% of the total booking amount.

The client may choose to pay the Tourism Tax (Ecotasa) in advance or upon arrival, provided that the number of guests matches the booking details.

The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the arrival date. If payment is not made within this period, a reminder will be sent and the client will have 48 hours to complete the payment. Otherwise, the booking will be canceled, and applicable cancellation fees will apply.


4. Booking Modifications

Modifications to a confirmed booking are not guaranteed. However, if you wish to change any aspect, please contact our reservation center to evaluate feasibility based on availability and conditions.


5. Cancellations

Cancellations must be made in writing via email to reservas@sonnevillas.com and will be subject to the following fees:

  • Cancellations made 180 days or more before arrival: 15% of the total booking.

  • Cancellations made between 30 and 180 days before arrival: 20% of the total booking.

  • Cancellations made within 30 days or no-shows: 100% of the total booking.

The company is not responsible for the reason for the cancellation and applies these conditions in accordance with Spanish law.

In cases of force majeure or circumstances beyond the company’s control, Sonnevillas Menorca S.L. reserves the right to cancel the booking, refund the full amount, or offer an alternative accommodation, provided this is agreed with the client.


6. Check-in and Check-out

Check-in is from 3:00 PM on the date indicated in the confirmation, unless otherwise specified. Early check-in may be allowed depending on availability.

Check-out must be before 10:00 AM on the last day of the stay. Late check-out may be allowed subject to availability.


7. Additional Services and Special Requests

If you require additional services or have special requests during your stay, please inform us so we can accommodate them as far as possible.


8. Pool Use and Responsibility Clause

  1. Use at Guest’s Own Risk
    The property’s pool is provided as a recreational facility. Use is at the sole risk of guests, who agree to use it responsibly and follow safety rules.

  2. Supervision of Minors
    Children must always be under the direct supervision of an adult when in or around the pool area.

  3. No Lifeguard on Duty
    Guests expressly acknowledge that there is no lifeguard on duty; swimming is at their own risk.

  4. Compliance with Safety Rules
    Guests agree to comply with safety rules, including:

  • No running around the pool

  • No diving or jumping in shallow areas

  • No swimming under the influence of alcohol or drugs

  • No glass or dangerous objects in the pool

  1. Exemption from Liability for Misuse
    The owner is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or damages resulting from improper, negligent, or reckless use of the pool by guests or their companions.

  2. Express Acceptance
    By signing the contract, guests acknowledge the pool’s existence, characteristics, and inherent risks.


9. Guests with Reduced Mobility

Some properties are adapted for guests with reduced mobility. Please contact us for more information on available options.


10. Number of Occupants

The maximum number of occupants for each property is specified in the property description. Exceeding this number is not permitted and may result in contract termination and eviction of unregistered occupants without refund.


11. Behavior

Guests are expected to enjoy their stay while respecting the property and surroundings. The client is responsible for their own behavior and that of their companions. Non-compliance may result in immediate eviction without refund.


12. Pets

Pets are generally not allowed, except for assistance animals and only with prior authorization from the property owner.


13. Complaints

Any complaints should be reported immediately to allow prompt resolution. No claims will be accepted after the stay.


14. Security Deposit

A security deposit is mandatory and must be paid in cash or retained on a card before check-in. It will be refunded within 7 days after check-out, unless damages are found.


15. Liability

Sonnevillas Menorca S.L. is not responsible for losses, thefts, personal injuries, or accidents during the stay. It is also not responsible for services provided by collaborating companies contracted through our website.


16. Guest Responsibility

The main guest is responsible for their own conduct and of all persons occupying the property during the stay. They agree to use the facilities properly and are liable for any damage caused by negligence, recklessness, or misuse.


17. Acceptance of Inherent Risks

Guests acknowledge that certain property facilities, including stairs, terraces, gardens, or outdoor areas, may involve inherent risks if not used properly. By signing the contract, guests accept these risks and agree to act diligently to prevent accidents.


18. Limitation of Liability

The owner is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or personal damages occurring during the stay when resulting from recklessness, negligence, non-compliance with safety rules, or improper use of facilities by guests or their companions.


19. Safety, Health, and Legal Compliance

  • Guests and any accompanying persons must comply with current health and safety regulations.

  • Guests are required to follow any legal restrictions applicable to vacation rentals in the Balearic Islands.

  • Sonnevillas Menorca S.L. may require identification and legal documentation from guests upon check-in.

  • Any accidents or damages must be reported immediately to the property manager.


20. Data Protection

In compliance with Organic Law 3/2018 on Personal Data Protection and digital rights, personal data provided will be incorporated into a file managed by Sonnevillas Menorca S.L. to manage the booking and, if indicated, to send information about offers and services.


21. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

This agreement is governed by Spanish law. In case of disputes, the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Maó-Mahón, Balearic Islands, waiving any other jurisdiction.
